TBILISI, June 27 – A woman aged around 70 died after being hit by a car in eastern Georgia, Interpressnews reported Friday.
The accident happened in Gurjaani municipality, near the village of Chalaubani.
According to local residents cited by Interpressnews, the woman had just got off a minibus and was crossing the central highway when she was struck by a passenger car.
She died from her injuries before emergency medical workers arrived.
Gurjaani is located in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region.
