TBILISI, February 11 – Three people were killed on Wednesday in a traffic accident on the Rustavi-Lilo road, authorities said.
According to initial information, a passenger car and a truck collided on the road, which connects the industrial city of Rustavi with the outskirts of Tbilisi.
Georgia’s Interior Ministry said an investigation has been launched for violations of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules, according to Interpressnews.
Video footage from the scene was published by the local outlet Info Rustavi, showing emergency services working at the site of the collision.
The Rustavi-Lilo road is a busy route linking Rustavi, one of Georgia’s largest cities, with the capital area.
