TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia’s Zviad Gogochuri on Saturday took gold in the men’s 90kg judo competition at the Rio Paralympics.
This is the first gold by a Georgia athlete in the Paralympics since the country became independent in 1991.

TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia’s Vladimer Khinchegashvili won gold in men’s freestyle 57 kg wrestling at the Rio Olympics on Friday. Georgia now has two gold medals in the games.
In the final, Khinchegashvili faced Japan’s Rei Higuchi, who got silver.

Georgian football official dies after being hit by police car
