UNM barely avoids splitting in two after talk of ditching Saakashvili

TBILISI, DFWatch–The faction supporting Mikheil Saakashvili narrowly won a debate at a National Movement party conference on Wednesday. A  resolution was passed to hold a party convention in the format favored by the country’s former president.

Georgian parliament approves new government

TBILISI, DFWatch–The Georgian parliament Saturday passed a vote of confidence in a new cabinet government formed after Georgian Dream won a landslide in the October 8 election.

110 MPs voted for and 19 against a cabinet, which had only three personnel changes

Another transgender woman attacked in Tbilisi

TBILISI, DFWatch–A transgender woman was attacked in Tbilisi on November 25. The attack happened late at night on Tamar Mepe Avenue.

The target of the attack, Nata, had her nose broken and suffered other facial injuries. She left the hospital on Saturday.
