Over a thousand foreign observers for Georgia’s election

TBILISI, DFWatch–60 local and 65 international organizations will observe Sunday’s presidential election.

The Central Election Commission published information about the observers on Saturday, after finishing the process of registration of organizations and media.

According to CEC, 60 local organizations have registered to observe the presidential election, which in total number 19 746, observers and 65 international organizations, with 1 241 observers.

As for the media, there are registered 152 media organizations with 1 381 journalists. 84 of them are from international media.

Last year’s parliamentary election in October 2012 was observed by 64 international and 50 local organizations and representatives of 146 media outlets.
