TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia is expecting representatives of 30 countries to attend the inauguration of Giorgi Margvelashvili as new president on November 17.

Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze said Monday that among the guests will be two or three presidents, speakers of parliament and foreign ministers.

“We expect two ministers from some of the countries and from some countries economy ministers may come,” she said,

Partner countries will put together their delegation according to their field of interest, she reckoned. “For example, we expect the transport minister from Turkmenistan and probably the minister of economy from Turkey.”

Armenia will send its foreign minister and economy minister. From Israel and Romania, the speaker of parliament will attend. Moldova sends its president, Japan its deputy foreign minister, and Netherlands its prime minister. Also the Baltic countries will be represented.
