TBILISI, September 20 – Protesters carrying Georgian and European Union flags marched through central Tbilisi on Saturday evening, calling on the government to step down.

The demonstrators gathered near Avlabari metro station before setting off toward the Georgian parliament, according to Interpressnews.

Participants chanted slogans calling on Bidzina Ivanishvili’s government to step down. Ivanishvili is the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, which has been in power since 2012.

The march was part of the regular Saturday protests in Georgia’s capital since the October, 2024, parliamentary election.
