TBILISI, June 15 – One person was killed and another wounded in an incident in Tbilisi overnight, Interpressnews reported Monday.
The incident happened on Kurdiani Street, in the home of the man who died, according to information reported by TV Pirveli and cited by Interpressnews.
TV Pirveli reported that the dead person was a young man who was allegedly thrown from the seventh floor. Another man was wounded and taken to a medical facility.
Several people were reportedly inside the apartment when the incident happened.
Local residents said they heard sounds of shooting and fighting.
Forensic crime experts were working at the scene on Monday.
Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs told Interpressnews that an investigation has been launched for unlawful purchase, possession and carrying of a firearm, as well as attempted intentional murder under aggravating circumstances against two or more people.
The ministry said law enforcement officers had identified all people involved in the incident and that they were at a police station.
