TBILISI, DFWatch–January 1, unknown persons attacked a gathering of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ozurgeti.

According to local media in the Guria region, the assailants broke the windows of a car the Jehovah’s Witnesses were sitting in and threw stones at the building where they were meeting.

No-one was injured in the incident. Guria regional police department has launched an investigation, but it is unknown whether anyone has been detained so far. The investigation is launched on the basis of section 187 of the Criminal Code, which deals with damaging or destroying someone’s property.

Jehovah’s Witnesses told the newspaper Guria Moambe that the attackers might have been teenagers.
