TBILISI, May 21 – Five people were taken to hospital after a car collided with a trailer near the village of Vachnadziani in eastern Georgia on Thursday.
The accident happened in Gurjaani municipality, according to Interpressnews.
Early reports said the car had five people inside and all of them were taken to a clinic. Initial information indicated that none of them had suffered life-threatening injuries.
Local residents told Interpressnews that the passenger car was following a so-called “last bell” convoy, a traditional school graduation celebration in Georgia. However, the people inside the car were reportedly not 12th-grade students.
Traffic was disrupted on the road from Tsinandali toward Vachnadziani because of the crash.
