TBILISI, September 28 – A child under the age of five was killed and three other people were seriously injured after a minibus struck pedestrians in Batumi, Interpressnews reported Sunday.
Four people were injured in the crash. The child died while being taken into a clinic, while the other injured people were transported to hospitals in Batumi, reportedly in a serious condition.
According to local residents cited by the news agency, the minibus hit people who were on foot.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was taken to a police station, while an investigation was launched for violations of traffic safety rules.
