TBILISI, DFWatch–4 973 632 people visited Georgia in January-November, 2013 according to the Interior Ministry.

This is 22.6 percent more than the same period last year, and 12.3 period more than the total number of visitors in 2012.

The highest number of visitors came from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine and Iran.

1 935 767 were tourists – 17.3 percent more than in January-November, 2012. 1 094 159 used Georgia as transit country – 55.6 percent more than last year, while 1 943 796 came with other purposes – 14.2 percent more than in 2012.
