TBILISI, DFWatch–A minister in the Georgian government resigned on Tuesday.

Not much is known about why Davit Shavliashvili decided to resign as regional development and infrastructure, but a notice from the ministry said it was for health reasons.

The prime minister has not yet commented on whether he will approve the letter of resignation or not, but Garibashvili’s press office said he will make a statement later today.

Shavliashvili was appointed in July 2014. Earlier he was head of the Roads Department.
