TBILISI, DFWatch–According to a new survey conducted by the American company Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research, 43 percent would vote for the Georgian Dream candidate Giorgi Marvelashvili, while 23 percent would vote for the National Movement party’s Davit Bakradze.

The survey was ordered by the National Movement and the results were published on Thursday, the same day as a poll came out by Georgian Dream, indicating 57.6 percent support for Margvelashvili. If the Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner poll is correct, a second round of the election will be necessary, as no candidate will get more than 50 percent.

6 percent say they support Nino Burjanadze, leader of the Democratic Movement, 3 percent would vote for the Labor Party’s Shalva Natelashvili, 2 percent for Giorgi Targamadze, leader of the Christian Democrats, and 18 percent hasn’t decided yet or refused to answer.

1 477 people were questioned in the period October 5-11.
