On the anniversary of the August war, the Tskhinvali regime temporarily closes the de facto border. The checkpoint, located near the village of Mosaburni (the so-called “Razdzhani” checkpoint), will close at 8 pm on Tuesday and open at 6 am on Friday, August 9.

According to the de facto State Security Committee, which is in charge of “the state border”, the closure is related to the events scheduled in the breakaway republic to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the war.
