TBILISI, DFWatch–The foreign ministers of Germany and France will visit Georgia on April 23-24.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany and France’s Laurent Fabius were originally to have visited Georgia on March 3, but they both postponed due to events in Ukraine.
Georgia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani said Tuesday at a weekly briefing that the visit is important, both in light of Georgia’s signing of an Association Agreement with the EU in June and the NATO summit in Wales in September.
The ministers will meet with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, Speaker of Parliament Davit Usupashvili and Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze.
