Restrictions on roads in some mountain areas in Georgia

TBILISI, DFWatch–There are traffic restrictions on the Ninotsminda road, which leads to the border with Armenia.

Restrictions are in effect along the 94km-100km section of the road, where trailers, half-trailers and vehicles with more than 30 seats are prohibited from driving.

Other vehicles are allowed to pass only from 09:00 to 19:00. At other times of day, the road is closed to all kinds of vehicles.

There is also snow and frost on the road section from the ski resort Gudauri to Kobi. Here, traffic is only allowed if the vehicle is equipped with snow chains. It is not allowed to stop along the Gudauri-Kobi road.

Also in Dariali Valley (134km-135km) vehicles are not allowed to stop. Police are doing checks in these areas.
