TBILISI, DFWatch–President Salome Zurabishvili calls on CBS to “make the necessary changes” to clear an “irresponsible mistake” in the synopsis of an upcoming episode of the TV series NCIS: New Orleans in which Georgia’s breakaway region of South Ossetia is referred as a Russian province.
In the episode “The River Styx, Part II” which will be aired on 14 May, the main character Dwayne Pride, played by Scott Bakula, travels to “war-torn South Ossetia in Russia” where he uncovers a spy network.
An upcoming episode of @NCISNewOrleans set to feature #Georgia’s ‘South Ossetia’ as a “Russian province” is troubling. This synopsis mistake is irresponsible and we call on @CBS and the show’s writers to respect Georgia’s territorial integrity and make the necessary changes.
