TBILISI, September 23 – More than 1,200 applicants have secured places at universities and vocational schools in Georgia in the second round of admissions.
Georgia’s National Assessment and Examinations Center announced Wednesday that 1,242 of the 1,715 applicants who registered for the second round had gained the right to study at higher education or vocational institutions. A total of 4,010 applicants had been eligible to take part.
Of those offered places, 818 will enter bachelor’s degree programs. That includes 312 at state-founded universities and 506 at private institutions. Another 408 applicants qualified for vocational programs, while 16 gained places on Georgian-language preparation programs at state-founded universities.
The second round was open to applicants who met the minimum subject scores in Georgia’s 2026 national entrance exams but did not secure a place in the initial admissions process. Applicants who fell short of those scores could also take part if they met the lower thresholds set for vocational programs.
