TBILISI, July 7 – More than 95 percent of applicants showed up for Georgia’s English-language entrance exam on July 6 and 7, the National Assessment and Examinations Center said on Tuesday.
The English exam for university applicants has now been completed, according to figures published by the center and reported by Rezonansi.
The exams are part of Georgia’s national admissions process, where applicants take centralized tests for entry into higher education. English is one of the foreign language options.
The next round comes on Wednesday, July 8. Applicants who selected German, French or Russian as their foreign language will sit their exams that day. All three language exams will be held in one session.
Also on Wednesday, teachers and people seeking to become teachers will take the geography exam.
The National Assessment and Examinations Center reminded all examinees to arrive on time, bringing both an identity document and their exam card. Applicants must go to the time and address printed on the card.
The center also warned that candidates will not be admitted to the exam after registration closes.
