TBILISI, DFWatch–The president of Georgia has become a target of criticism after re-tweeting Donald Trump’s viral tweet in which he derides his possible opponent in the 2020 presidential elections, former Vice President Joe Biden, calling him “sleepy Joe”.
President Salome Zurabishvili’s administration had to hold an urgent press conference in which her spokeswoman flatly denied that Trump’s tweet was shared by the president, speculating that it might be either “a technical error” or “a cyber-attack”.
“Sadly, such cases happen. Once the problem was identified, the post was deleted. At this time the post is no longer on [Salome Zurabishvili] Twitter [page],” the president’s press spokesperson Khatia Moistsrapishvili explained.
Sleepy Joe Biden is having his first rally in the Great State of Pennsylvania. He obviously doesn’t know that Pennsylvania is having one of the best economic years in its history, with lowest unemployment EVER, a now thriving Steel Industry (that was dead) & great future!……..

“Sleepy Joe Biden is having his first rally in the Great State of Pennsylvania. He obviously doesn’t know that Pennsylvania is having one of the best economic years in its history, with lowest unemployment EVER, a now thriving Steel Industry (that was dead) & great future!……..” says a tweet posted on Donald J. Trump’s verified Twitter account.
Later on Tuesday, Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that it was studying whether the issue was related to a cyber-attack.
