TBILISI, DFWatch–Health Minister Davit Sergeenko started his visit to Ukraine by making several agreements about offering assistance to Ukraine as result of the crisis there.
A bilateral working group is being created to coordinate the assistance. Sergeenko Wednesday held talks at the Ukrainian Health Ministry about a plan for how to proceed with the aid effort.
So far, no details are known about the agreement, but earlier it was announced that Georgia wants to assist in the following areas:
-Injured patients will be provided with medicines and some of them will be brought to Georgia for further medical treatment.
-Georgian specialists will be sent to Ukraine in order to help patients there.
The health minister arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday morning to study the situation and help plan how Georgia is to assist Ukraine.
