TBILISI, DFWatch–According to a survey conducted by Research and Consult Center Psiqo Proeqti, 57.6 percent support the Georgian Dream coalition candidate for president, Giorgi Margvelashvili, while 11.8 percent support Davit Bakradze, the National Movement candidate.
At least 50 percent is needed to win in the first round.
The survey, which was published on Thursday, also shows that 7.1 percent support Nino Burjanadze from the Democratic Movement, 1.7 percent support Giorgi Targamadze of the Christian Democrats, 3.1 percent Shalva Natelashvili of the Labor party, 4.7 percent support none of the candidates, while 10.3 percent refused to answer. 2.4 percent said they don’t know.
The survey was ordered by the Georgian Dream coalition. 1 607 people were asked between 13. and 18. October.
Georgia’s election for president will be held on Sunday, October 27.
