TBILISI, September 29 – Georgia and Ukraine played out a goalless draw in Tbilisi on Monday night in the second round of the Nations League.
The match at Dinamo Arena ended 0-0, giving Georgia its first point of the campaign after an opening-round defeat to Northern Ireland. Ukraine had started its campaign with a 1-0 win in Hungary.
The game was also Georgia’s first Nations League match under new head coach Ramaz Svanadze, who recently replaced Willy Sagnol. Sagnol left the national team only a few days earlier after more than five years in charge.
Georgia had opened the Nations League with a narrow 1-0 loss to Northern Ireland, while Ukraine entered the Tbilisi match after beating Hungary 1-0 in its opener.
