TBILISI, DFWatch–Financial crime investigators in Georgia have confiscated a hundred home-made slot machines that were placed in several cities around the country.
The grey and blue columns do not look like typical slot machines, but offer customers a crude gambling game which involves inserting 20 tetri (USD 0.09) coins.
The Investigation Service of the Finance Ministry said Thursday that around a hundred slot machines were seized in Tbilisi, Gardabani, Rustavi, Marneuli, Poti and Senaki. The gambling machines were unlicensed and provided their owners with a large profit.
An investigation has been launched for illegal business and money laundering.
