TBILISI, DFWatch – The whole world is taking note of how Georgia is tackling corruption, at least according to Prime Minister Nika Gilauri.

While answering questions in parliament Friday he said that the whole world is learning from the methods Georgia is using to fight corruption.

The comment came during a debate regarding the government’s ’10 point plan’, which was held at the initiative of the Christian Democrats.

Gilauri qualified his claim by pointing out that the World Economic Forum has established a task force to deal with fighting corruption which will make recommendations for G20 countries.

He noted that the group consists of international experts, journalists and representatives of Interpol, while he is the only representative of a country in the group.

“The whole body of work that are the Georgian reforms should be suggested to the international community to decrease the level of corruption in other countries,” the prime minister said.
