TBILISI, DFWatch–A 23 year old Georgian double amputee has broken his own world record for planche push-ups.

Corporal Temur Dadiani lost both legs in 2011 while serving in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.

Sunday, he managed to do 44 push-ups in one minute; 8 more than his previous record set last year and recorded by the Guinness Book of Records.

The attempt took place at Freedom Square in Tbilisi, in connection with a charity marathon called ‘We Win Together’, held in support of people with disabilities and war veterans.

Dadiani was congratulated by Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli and head of the joint military staff Vakhtang Kapanadze.

He is now serving at Davit Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy, while also studying social science at the International Black Sea University and practising fencing in preparation  for the 2016 Paralympics.
