TBILISI, DFWatch–Bad weather in western Georgia has led to Wizz Air’s flights to and from Kutaisi airport being redirected to Tbilisi on Tuesday.
According to United Airports of Georgia, the following flights have been scheduled on January 5:
A flight from Tbilisi to Warsaw departed at 11:20am, while a flight from Tbilisi to Budapest departed at 13:00pm.
Several flights were delayed at Kutaisi airport on Monday due to low visibility. A Wizz Air plane was unable to land in the early morning and had to return to Warsaw. The plane should have made another try to land in Kutaisi Tuesday, but the airport’s management said flights from Warsaw and Budapest to Kutaisi have been redirected to Tbilisi and passengers would arrive in the capital this morning instead of in Kutaisi.
United Airports of Georgia is providing passengers with transportation between Kutaisi and Tbilisi.
