TBILISI, DFWatch–Two Georgians were detained on Saturday by officers of the Russian FSB’s border service patrolling the perimeter of the breakaway region South Ossetia.
Roin Zautashvili and his son Giorgi were detained for border violation in the village Bershueti in Gori municipality while attending to cattle, although head of Gori municipality Davit Tsertsvadze claimed that the two were on Georgian-controlled territory when they were detained.
Two other Georgians were released by South Ossetia the same day, after paying a USD 30 fine for border violation. The two were from Adzvi and Plavismani.
