TBILISI, DFWatch–Tbilisi City Hall plans to purchase apples from villages close to the Russian-controlled territories.

The plan is the initiative of the Mayor of Tbilisi, and the goal is to help people living in the conflict zone who otherwise would be left without an income and facing other problems.

City Hall said in a statement that the initiative started with an appeal from the population of the village Adzvi. The purchased harvest will be distributed to socially vulnerable families.
