TBILISI, DFWatch–A man suspected of injuring a policeman in Zugdidi, a town in western Georgia, was released on Thursday on a 2 000 lari (USD 1200) bail.

Zugdidi City Court satisfied the appeal by the Prosecutor’s Office to release the suspect on bail.

The suspect will have 40 days  to pay the bail money.

He left the court building without making statements to the media.

Two days ago, a policeman was found naked in the street with his cut ear off. He was allegedly beaten and attacked by his friend for attempting to rape his wife.
