TBILISI, DFWatch–At least six people were injured as heavy rain hit the Georgian capital Saturday night at 10pm, Interpressnews reported.
The city’s zoo was also hit by flood, and animals have escaped, the news agency reported.
The exact extent of damage is still unclear, and the emergency service asked people not to panic and not to spread unreliable information.
Also a dog shelter which lost many of its dogs in a previous flood had been completely wiped out, according to its owner.
Rain water also damaged roads and houses, and emergency workers helped affected people escape flooded areas.
