TBILISI, DFWatch–The S-3 road was closed in a mountainous area north of Tbilisi on Thursday because of strong wind and poor visibility.
According to the Road Department, the road is closed for all traffic between Gudauri and Kobi.
On the same road, trailers, semi-trailers and vehicles with more than 30 seats are prohibited from driving between Aragvispiri and Gudauri, and all the way to the Russian border at Larsi, due to heavy snowfall. Other vehicles may drive between Gudauri and Posta, and between Kobi and Larsi.
Between Stepantsminda and Larsi, it is prohibited to make stops.
Other roads in Georgia are open.
