TBILISI, DFWatch–One Georgian was detained Saturday by Russian soldiers near the border with South Ossetia. This is the fourth Georgian this happens to this week.
Merab Kapanadze, 70, from the village Tseronisi, was detained while tending to his cattle in the fields. Locals as well as the village trustee claim that the spot where he kept his cattle is Georgia-controlled and that he didn’t cross the border.
On Friday, Russians detained three women from the village Khurvaleti – Zeinab Kharkheli, Rusudan Khuroshvili and Lali Khuroshvili – who are now held in a prison in Tskhinvali.
Interpressnews reports that Friday night, Russians detained Nina Khuroshvili, 60, from the village Jukaani, but released her soon after.
