New poll shows 56% support for Georgia's ruling GD party

TBILISI, DFWatch–A new opinion poll suggests that the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party remains the largest political force in the country.

According to the poll, which was carried out by GORBI for Georgian broadcaster Imedi, 56.2% of likely voters would support GD if elections were held this week.

The results show a fragmented opposition landscape, with no single challenger gaining significant traction. The centrist Lelo – For a Strong Georgia polled at 10.7%, followed closely by For Georgia, the party of former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, at 10%.

A coalition of smaller pro-EU opposition parties, including figures like Nika Gvaramia and Nika Melia, scored 9.5%, with the once-dominant United National Movement (UNM) trailing at 7.5%.

The face-to-face survey was conducted between June 22 and July 5, and 2,300 adults were polled across Georgia. The margin of error is 3%. Imedi notes that the data was weighted both demographically and politically based on the results of the 2024 parliamentary election.
