TBILISI, DFWatch–While the total damage of the flood in Tbilisi on June 14 is expected to reach 100 million lari, according to PM Garibashvili, money is pouring in from private donors, businesses and foreign states.

More than 4.2 million lari has already been donated, according to the Finance Ministry. Out of this amount, 1.7 million laris, USD 31,000 and EUR 1,000 came from individuals.

Apart from those donations, the government has allocated ten million laris. 200,000 will be taken from the president’s reserve fund and 150,000 from the government’s reserve fund will be used for the families of the dead.

The EU Commission will also contribute up to 3 million euros (7.6 million lari) which is to provide housing solutions following the damage.
