Georgia’s foreign trade turnover in the first eight months of 2015 was 14 percent less than the year before, according to figures published Monday by the National Statistics Department, Geostat.
The total turnover in January-August was USD 6,395 million, out of which USD 1,459 million was export –24 percent less than last year, while import was USD 4,937 million – 10 percent down from the last year.
The negative trade balance in the first eight months of 2015 was USD 3,478, which is 54 percent of the whole foreign trade turnover.
