TBILISI, DFWatch–In first nine months of 2015, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover was 14 percent less than in the same period last year.
According to a preliminary monthly report published by the National Statistics Department, the foreign trade turnover in January-October was USD 8,121 million.
Export amounted to USD 1,832 million, which is 24 percent less than last year, while import was USD 6,289 million, which is 10 percent less than last year.
The negative trade balance was USD 4,477 million, which is 55 percent of the total trade turnover in the measured period.
