Georgia lost to the Netherlands, but is in a shared first place with Bosnia-Herzegovina in Groud D for EuroBasket 2013. (IPN.)

TBILISI, DFWatch – Georgia’s basketball team is in a shared first place in Group D of the qualification for EuroBasket 2013 next to Bosnia-Herzegovina after losing a match against the Netherlands.

After three victories in a row, it was the first defeat of Georgia’s Jvarosnebi team in qualification games for EuroBasket 2013.

The match was played on August 27 in the Netherlands. Georgia started out strong but Netherlands stayed alert and didn’t let the visitors get far ahead. In the end, the score was 88:91.

Before, Jvarosnebi have won against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania and Latvia.

Their next match is scheduled for September 3 against Romania.

Now Bosnia-Herzegovina is in a shared first place with Georgia with three wins and one defeat, both having seven points, followed by Latvia with two wins and two defeats – six points, Netherlands – one win and three defeats – five points, Romania one win three defeats – five points.
