Georgia earn point in 0-0 draw with Northern Ireland

Georgia takes home one point from Belfast, but remains last in its Nations League group.

TBILISI, October 6 – Georgia’s national football team played a 0-0 draw against Northern Ireland in Belfast, leaving the team at the bottom of its UEFA Nations League group with two matches remaining.

The fourth round match was played at Windsor Park and ended without either side finding the net.

Georgia are competing in Group 2 of League B in the 2026/27 Nations League alongside Northern Ireland, Ukraine and Hungary.

The draw gave Georgia their second point of the campaign. Their first meeting with Northern Ireland ended in a 1-0 defeat, while Georgia drew 0-0 with Ukraine before losing 1-0 away to Hungary.

With four rounds completed, Northern Ireland lead the group while Georgia is in last place.

Georgia will have two final chances to improve its position when the Nations League group stage concludes in November.

The team will first host Hungary in Tbilisi, before facing Ukraine in Slovakia. Those two matches will determine the final standings in the group.
