
TBILISI, January 31 – Georgian police have detained a Turkish citizen wanted by Interpol on a murder charge, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
Officers from the Kvemo Kartli Police Department arrested the suspect in the town of Marneuli, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
Authorities said the detainee is a citizen of Turkey who has been subject to an Interpol red notice issued by his country in December, 2025 on suspicion of intentional murder.
Police said the arrest followed investigative actions carried out in Marneuli.
