TBILISI, DFWatch — Representatives of Georgia and Russia will meet at the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Tedo Japaridze, head of parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, told journalists about the planned meeting on Thursday after he met privately with the head of the Russian delegation Aleksey Pushkov during the PACE winter session in Strasbourg.
Japaridze said they agreed to meet at the next session, which will be held in April, but before that, special parliamentary groups will meet in both countries.
“Such small steps will help us to create a positive background. From time to time we will make it to more difficult issues,” Japaridze added.
