TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia’s foreign trade turnover in the first half of 2015 was 14 percent less than last year, according to preliminary figures from Georgia’s National Statistics Department, GeoStat.
According to the short monthly report, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover in January-June was $5,573 million. Export was $1,269 million – 24 percent less than last year, while import was USD 4,305 million – 11 percent less.
Negative trade balance in the six months was USD 3,036 million, which is 54 percent of the turnover.
