TBILISI, DFWatch–Five people were killed in a car crash in eastern Georgia Thursday evening. Several people are injured, two of them are in a serious condition.

The accident took place in the village Badiauri, near Sagarejo. A minibus smashed into a small Opel car. Four of the passengers in the Opel and one sitting in the minibus died.

The injured have been taken to the hospital in Sagarejo. Two middle-aged men remain in hospital; one of them in intensive care.

Police are investigating the accident under the 7th passage of article 276 of the Criminal Code, which is about violating traffic rules causing the death of two or more people.
