TBILISI, DFWatch–The road through Dariali Valley in Georgia is reopened for traffic with some restrictions, ten days after it was hit by a landslide.
The road itself, and Larsi border crossing, will be opened from 07:00 to 18:00 without restrictions, but the rest of the time, police will be restricting traffic.
The landslide in Dariali Valley happened three months after a similar catastrophe. This time two were killed. The victims were citizens of Turkey and Georgia and were working on a tunnel when the landslide hit.
Gas supply to Armenia was restored a few days after the disaster.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri, Head of the Revenue Service Irali Gvaramadze and other government representatives visited Dariali Valley.
The border checkpoint will also work from 07:00 to 18:00 every day, according to the Revenue Service.
