TBILISI, DFWatch — Estonia has recognized so-called neutral passports as travel documents.
The Reintegration Minister’s office November 12 received a note from the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Estonia which said that the country approves the documents as valid for travel to Estonia.
Georgia started issuing neutral documents and IDs for people living in the occupied territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as a humanitarian type of document to help people in those regions receive social services and travel abroad.
So far, such documents are recognized by Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Japan, Czech Republic, USA, Bulgaria, Israel, Poland and Estonia.
