TBILISI, DFWatch–67 prisoners were released on Saturday on recommendation of the commission for early release, according to the Prison Ministry. 14 of the released prisoners are women.

The ministry says the commission has reviewed about 300 cases and gave a positive recommendation in 67 of the cases.

The commission reviewed the cases of persons who are favorably evaluated by the prison administration and have served more than half of their sentence convicted of lesser crimes, have served two thirds of their sentence in case of severe crimes and those who have done three quarter of their time in case of particularly severe crime.
