TBILISI, DFWatch–A 16-year-old boy died on late Thursday as a result of a rockslide in Borjomi, a tourist resort in the south of Georgia.
Nika Korghanashvili, who was spending his holiday in Borjomi with some friends, was walking home from the sulphur baths at the Borjomi national park, when a section of rock came loose and fell down.
He was caught under large boulders, according to eyewitness accounts, and died on the spot.
The others were not injured.
Korghanashvili’s body has been transported to his home in Tbilisi.
