TBILISI, DFWatch–Police in Tbilisi on Sunday detained three suspects who all pleaded guilty of the murder of two brothers during a robbery of an office.
According to the Interior Ministry, the crime took place in Dighomi, a northern Tbilisi suburb. The perpetrators, former employees of Geo Lift Ltd, injured the brothers, who had also worked in the company, with blunt objects, causing their death. Then they robbed the office.
Neighbors discovered the bodies of Alexandre and Denis Atarshikov in their apartment Sunday morning.
The company Geo Lift belonged to the brothers and carries out installation of elevators.
The three suspects, all aged from 20 to 24, were detained the same day. They stole 500 lari (USD 265) from the office of Geo Lift.
The Interior Ministry has launched an investigation on the basis of section 109 of the Criminal Code about deliberate murder.
