TBILISI, DFWatch — President Mikheil Saakashvili’s annual address to parliament will take place on February 8, 2013.

“As a result of consultations, a decision was made that the president’s annual speech, defined by the constitution, will take place at 14:00 Friday February 8 in parliament,” parliament’s press office informs.

Consultations continue about the format of the president’s visit to parliament. February 5, a final agreement is expected to be made between the majority and minority faction.

This will be the first time the president will have to present a state of the nation address while his party does not hold government power.

Last year’s address to parliament was held February 28.
